Counterfeit Bills being passed in the Twin Cities Metro Area

12 Sep 2016 17:13 | Allen Lund (Administrator)

Marisa Peck, GM for the NE Lions sent me the following:

Good Afternoon all, I’ve had a couple of phone calls from GM’s in regards to receiving counterfeit bills.  Be on the lookout – people are using counterfeit $10 and $100.00 bills for pulltabs.  We’ve had a few bar owners receive them as well.  Be sure to have your clerks using the pen to ensure the bill is not counterfeit.  One of the clerks received a counterfeit bill as her tip!  Let your bar owners know to be on the lookout as well.

So far the bars and sites have been near Andover and White Bear.

Ron Eiden of the Rush Lake Improvement Association has also reported that counterfeit bills have been passed in Cambridge.
