2015 Gambling Control Board Legislation

12 Jan 2015 09:49 | Allen Lund (Administrator)

GCB Proposed Legislation attached. yearendletter12312014.pdf ACM has raised issues with Sections 1, 4 and 18.  In section 1 we believe that charities need to control what goes on in charitable gaming, not for profit enterprises.  We are not necessarily against a provision that would allow a charity to conduct bar bingo without conducting paper pull tabs if the charity that is currently in the establishment with paper pull tabs agrees to the change, but that would be as far as we are willing to go.  In section 4 we are against the doubling of our regulatory fee.  Much work needs to be done to better understand all of the GCB revenue streams (fees, licenses, manufacturers, distributors) and their current expenses.  In section 18 the House and Senate passed our bill with the $2000 e gaming deposit limit and we ask that to be the number (it is back in our 2015 legislation as $2000). Please advise of any other issues that you might have after reviewing the document.
